Selwyn,
Premier Artist of the Freya Gallery From Newport Beach to New Orleans, Manhattan to Manhattan Beach, Washington DC to Sacramento, and most major cities in between, Selwyn has painted portraits of Americans all across the United States. Originally from Ohio, Selwyn has an intuitive understanding of image and color, especially in her ability to capture precise portraiture. Early in her childhood she received favorable feed back on all her artistic endeavors. Selwyn's sheer ambition and innate talent lead her on a journey that has literally been nonstop for over two and a half decades. Starting in her early teenage years, she painted water color portraits at art fairs, county and state fairs, and for private parties. During Selwyn's college years at the California State University at Sacramento, she studied television production. While going to school in Sacramento, Selwyn painted portraits of many the State's legislators and staff. With her commercial training and art talent, she branched out to perform services for small businesses doing illustrations, logo design, full store front makeovers, signs and murals. She enjoys working in large scale and making changes in architecture with paint and a "fool the eye" realism. Image enhancement for small business has lead the artist work in a very public showcase and now the Freya Art Gallery is proud to have Selwyn as their in house premier artist. Selwyn's work
